- Liner swimming pools: Panel or concrete block construction. Liner pools have less leeway when it comes to different shapes and sizes unless we use onsite lining
- Concrete pools - Mosaic, tile or smooth finish. Much more flexibility when it comes to designing the shape and size of the pool

- Setting out and excavate pool area, then begin the pool building, fitting the main drains, skimmer and returns

Before a pool builder can start construction, proper consideration has to be given to the possibility of obstacles in the way of construction before selecting a final location of the pool. These could include
- Underground services like electrical cables gas lines, water pipes,
- Drains, septic tanks, land drains and culverts
- Overhead power lines
- Trees, heavy foliage,
- Other outbuildings,are another consideration for the pool location
It is not always possible to know what is beneath your feet but if you are aware of any services that may be underground this would help enormously before excavation begins, although there is no foolproof way of knowing and NO guarantees that any underground service will not be damaged during the excavations, A pool builder may have an idea of the type of subsoil in your particular area, but at the same time cannot possibly see or have any knowledge of any services which may or may not be in that particular location
Unseen obstructions
Swimming pools, trees and shrubs
Unfortunately trees and bushes do not make good bedfellows with swimming pools
So location of the pool needs to be as far away from trees as possible
- Water is drawn through main drains & skimmer through pipework towards the filter then back to the pool
- Sanitise the pool water.(The water must be tested regularly using a pool water test kit)
- Additional forms of heating for the pool can be added if required i.e., Solar heating • Heat Pump
